I was able to recreate this by using an outdated addon that caused a problem during an initial character load. It was TitanItemizedDeductions. Once I removed this, everything started working again and yes, once it fails, it erases the savedvariables entry...or I should say it overwrites a new blank setting instead so loading a profile from another character saves a lot of time.

When logging in, my titan bars are missing (but the space is reserved, as the cast bar is shifted a bit). When relogging, they show up, but are completely empty. (Good to have a twink to import the profile...)
This has been fixed internally for the next release. Expect it before the 3.2 patch.
My top bars do not slide all the way over to the right and I have a slight gap. It's not my monitor alignment... every other thing is fine. Is there any way to move the top bars over to the right a smidge?

3.2 PTR (FYI):
We are aware that there is a problem with TitanLootType on the 3.2 PTR. The reason is that Blizzard changed the API and differentiated between dungeon and raid difficulty, in order to facilitate the necessary changes required for the new group/raid instances. We have fixed the plugin internally, so it won't be a problem when we release. Until that time, feel free to disable it from your addon list, if you want to get rid of the error.

Yes it does. Whether modifiers will be recognized or not by a plugin depends on the coding of said plugin.
does titan panel allow plugins to use anything other than right/left click such as alt, ctrl, shift modifiers? I heard it does not due to limitations in the LDB.
thanks for your time.

I would just like to thank the WoWUI staff for allowing addon authors to delete inappropriate comments. You were all spared three duplicate comments by yet another WoWMatrix retard.

I just want to say that Titan Panel is one of the most useful addons and always has been. Thank you so much for investing the time to maintain it. :D

Concerning the broker plugins, it appears there is some confusion as to how they can/should be displayed. The assumption that they are added via their submenu is incorrect. Have a look at this screenshot http://titanpanel.googlecode.com/issues/attachment?aid=8294553969872428956&name=Image1.jpg As you may notice the plugin entries themselves need to be 'checked', in addition to any other properties controlled via the sub-menu. Crystal clear now, hopefully.
The Broker plugins do not show up no matter what right-click options I select. Deleting the titan.lua savedvariables file in the WTF folder solves the problem but this is very painful...

Bodu, thanks for the kind words; it's my favorite too. :)

the best mod that i ever used on wow..i really cannot play without it..everytime when i reactivate my account first thing that i do is to download titan panel...
You have to activate LDB plugins from Titan's right click menu by selecting Show icon, Show label text, and/or Show color text for EACH LDB plugin you wish to display. It is not enough to select the plugin itself. This was necessary to keep the Titan look-and-feel when using Broker plugins.
I can't see any of my LDB plugins. Broker Faction, Travellers Reference, X-Perl. I don't see the icons for any LDB plugin I turn on :(

So what server are you connecting to WoW that still uses 2.4.3? Just connect to a Blizzard server and download the new content. You can then use this version of Titan Panel. No one should be using 2.4.3. Even if you don't purchase the expansion, you're still required to use the WoW 3.0.3 update.
Well I have a problem. I an still using wow 2.4.3 and I had to format my PC. Now I can not find the Titan Panel for 2.4.3. Could someone please link it as this one is for the 3.0.3 version.

brykrys,
1. Titan Volume was changed in the current release due to a conflict with Blizzard's Saved Variables. In order to allow Volume to override the Blizzard settings, it was necessary to set default settings in Titan's Saved Variables file. These are set to 50%. So you will have to adjust the volume the first time you log into each toon.
2. Once you change the sliders, the new settings should be saved in the Saved Variables file. However, we have received a couple of reports that the settings are not saved unless you adjust EVERY slider. We suggest you try that while we look into this issue.
EDIT: I cannot duplicate- Titan DOES save any change you make to any slider.
3. To avoid having to manually adjust each slider for every toon, may I suggest using the Profiles feature. Set the sliders for one toon, save that toon's Profile, then assign that Profile to each new toon logged in.

I've had to disable Titan Volume completely.
The default setting should really be "whatever the volume was set to before"
It should not be set to "too quiet to hear anything" every time you log in or create a new character :(

Okay, figured that one out, now is there any way to display both that character's gold and the total gold for my all of my alts at the same time? Y'know, like the way it was before? That's why I was asking if Money was going to be added alongside GoldTracker.
But if it'll save you guys some work, I guess I'll just have to wave my mouse over my character's money. That'll work for now, I suppose.

SamLowry,
1. Money will not be returning.
2. GoldTracker replaced it because it was better.
3. GoldTracker can be configured to show the current toon's money. Like all included plugins, just right-click for options.

Will TitanMoney be returning anytime soon? It's really irritating to get one big pool number for all my alts when I really want to know at this very instant exactly how much money this character currently has.
Followup question, I guess: Why was it removed in the first place?

":) thank you! i just tested it again, and setting it ahead of server time doesn't work, either (i must have been half asleep the first time i tried!) <3 for all your hard work!"
In order for it to "work" you need to set the display to "Server adjusted time". If you have selected to view either local time or server time on the button, it obviously won't work.

i didn't notice if this had been mentioned yet, but TitanClock is acting up. it seems to work just fine if you set it at or ahead of server time, but if you are behind server time, the negative numbers are in red, and don't apply properly.

Comment from Tristanian:
Reload the UI and report back if the issue persists. I suspect that due to local cache wipe, GetItemQualityColor() isn't receiving a valid index reference the first time you enter the world (and the first time only).

Comment by Tristanian:
Titan uses the GameTooltip natively that usually overlaps frames by design and I really don't feel like setting its strata to something else explicitly, simply to make it play "nice" with any single addon.
As for the bar, it currently uses the "DIALOG" strata and buttons use one level above (FULLSCREEN) to avoid issues with LDB plugins and tooltips not displaying properly. I have tested implementations with lower strata values but wasn't satisfied with the end result (it created more issues than it solved). All in all, this is not likely to change anytime soon for mostly technical/performance related reasons.

I love Titan, always have but I've just noticed a small problem that I hope is a simple fix.
I like to run Cartographer, and I like this to use the FULLSCREEN strata, as I like my maps to be on top of everything else. If I do this though, the labels/tooltips etc on Titan Bar show over the top of the map still. :-(
Shouldn't these use the same strata as the bar itself so that overlapping like this doesn't cause this problem. Thanks :)

tbh no all i can suggest is to completely delete all Titan related folders re-download and try again, also make sure that Titan is enable for the toon in the Addons Menu.

I am having trouble getting this addon to work. I installed it into the right directory... and can see it in the character menu under my addons... and can enable it. But once I load into WOW its not there, and none of the commands work. I use to use the previous versions... and followed the directions on removing them... even cleaned out all the titan related files in the wtf account folders....
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

If you're not seeing Titan Panel and the plugins in your AddOns screen, it means either the files got corrupted on download, the unzip didn't retain the folder structure, or they are in the wrong folder. Look in your AddOn file. If you see a Titan folder and individual folders for each plugin (TitanAmmo, TitanGoldTracker, etc.), trash all the folders, redownload, and install manually again; if you don't see these folders, do a search then move them to the AddOns folder.

When I try to install Titan Panel using the WowInterface UI manager, I get an "internal error" message and it doesn't install. I've tried to do a manual install as well, following the instructions in the read-me file, but the app doesn't show up in my addon menu when I log into Wow. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? Thx so much!

Zarvon is working on a new version of HonorGrind at curse. It's not up yet, but you can find the page here: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/titan-panel-honor-grind-fan-u.aspx
GuildInfo is not a titan plugin.
The others appear to be abandoned.

Restplus
Critline
Factions (now updated to 4) so scratch it!
Wiki Wki DPS - DPS type meter
HonorGrind
GuildInfo
Titan Aggro
TitanArena
I have others but these the ones I use the most. If anyone can upgrade them to 4.x - that would be awesome. Or if there is an altnerative addon that does the same function as some of these - let me know and I'll use those.
Thanks

Gabbyii, TP 4.0 is a much more efficient version. It has also been coded to make it less susceptible to breakage when Blizzard updates WoW. Many of the plugins have already been updated; search for Titan here, on Curse, and on WowInterface. I was surprised so many have been updated already. There will still be growing pains for some of the new authors, but these changes were for the best in the long run. BTW, which plugins do you use that haven't been updated?

Read the comments below. The focus frame taint is happening because Blizzard dropdowns will cause such a behavior if someone tries to create a menu with more items than the game initializes. The first addon that loads and "crosses" this "threshold" will get blamed for it.
The only way we could "fix" this is dump the right-click menu entirely both from the Panel and from all the internal plugins, which is something we aren't considering at the moment. Either use /focus (or macro it even), or use a unitframe addon that provides its own focus frame.

I read the older comments and I'm still not sure if this was covered so forgive me if it was. I was playing with the focus on one of my toons and now Titan Panel does not work on that toon. It still works on all my others. I have tried un and reinstalling TP, but no success. Any suggestions?

Just so everyone knows (as its not obviously clear - unless I missed something) - Version 4.x is not backwards comp with older addons. Since most the addons are no longer being updated (at least the ones I like) - I'm switching back to version 3.x. Thanks for the effort guys but better luck next time.

riegault, look for Titan Panel [Rider] on this site; I've released it as a standalone plugin.

Here is the response from Tristanian to the same issue reported (many times) on our googlecode site:
This is a known issue to us and it's happening because Titan's right click menu uses Blizzard's dropdown menu implementation and is initializing more list entries/menu items/ than are already available in the game, after loading.
Short version: It's a problem with Blizzard handling of dynamically populated
dropdowns. The first addon that tries to create more list entries causes the taint. This is not only limited to Titan but happens with most Unitframe addons. We have posted about this on both the beta and Macros and UI forums, several weeks ago and we have yet to receive an official response.
Sadly there is very little we can do, on our side. The only effective solution would be to eliminate using Blizzard dropdown menus in Titan entirely, which is at the moment, an option we are not considering. I highly suggest that you use another addon to set/view main tanks, such as oRA2. You may also enable the focus frame without tainting it, by using the /focus slash command, while having a valid target.

I was wondering if you could look into Titan panel not allowing set focus to work. I get this this error message "Titan has been blocked from an action only available to the blizzard ui"

@ Brutes: Please don't forget, that the mod authors do their job without getting payed for by the users in their freetime. We users ought to be thankful for their efforts!

Mod author of Atlas but if you are tech-savy enough, you can ofc give it a shot.

Hmm, do we as users have to fix that or the Mod author of Atlas?

Neither one has a bug. Titan was modified with this release to handle some BlizzardUI changes in a different way. As such, all old plugins will need a few minor adjustments to load. AtlasTitan just needs a few tweaks. More information is available at the Titan Wiki: http://code.google.com/p/titanpanel/wiki/Developer_Changes_For_4_0_0_30000

Brutes, TitanAtlas needs to be updated to work with Titan Panel 4.0. Since I use it too, I hope it does get updated. In the meantime, I'm using the minimap icon to launch Atlas.

I can't put Atlas on the Titan bar. Is this a Atlas bug or a Titan bar bug?

guess it was only a matter of time before it was updated and titan panel and bhaldie recommended no longer work with it.

I'm not sure why, but every time I try to install the new mod it tells me all the files are password-protected and asks for the password for every-single-file? I read the READ-ME-FIRST and there is nothing in there about passwords?

Littlemaxi,
1. Thanks so very much for your help. We do want the localizations to be as complete as possible.
2. Because we're so close to the next release, you will see these corrected when WoW 3.0 is released.
3. If you encounter anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
4. Your English is so much better than my German. :)
